The #2185 6-Lobe (TX) Receiving Inspection GO Gage is an external configuration inspection gage designed to verify proper recess geometry in incoming fasteners.

Engineered for quality laboratories and receiving inspection departments, the 2185 Series confirms that the 6-lobe recess meets minimum acceptance requirements in accordance with TMF-801.1 and TXQ-801.1 standards.

Unlike production penetration gages, this configuration gage evaluates the overall drive interface geometry to ensure proper form, engagement capability, and acceptance compliance prior to release into production.

Each gage is heat treated, thermally stabilized, and surface treated to provide maximum wear resistance and long-term dimensional stability. All gage sizes are calibrated to specified tolerances and are traceable to NIST standards.

Ideal for:

  • Incoming inspection verification

  • Supplier quality control

  • Receiving dock validation

  • Lab-based geometry acceptance

  • ISO-compliant inspection systems

The 2185 Series ensures only conforming 6-lobe fasteners are released into production environments.

    2) Materials & Construction

    Universal’s 2185 Series gages are:

    • Heat treated

    • Thermally stabilized

    • Surface treated for enhanced hardness

    • Precision ground to certified dimensional tolerances

This construction provides additional wear resistance and long-term dimensional integrity in laboratory and quality control environments.

    3) Inspection Function

The 2185 Receiving Inspection GO Gage verifies:

    • Minimum recess form acceptance

    • Drive interface geometry compliance

    • Proper lobe profile formation

    • Acceptance readiness for production release

This gage is intended for acceptance inspection, not torque measurement or penetration depth evaluation.

    4) Certification & Traceability

All gage sizes are calibrated to specified dimensions and tolerances and are traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

    Optional documentation includes:

    • Certificate of Conformance

    • ISO/IEC 17025 Calibration

    • Serialized identification

    • Calibration recall tracking
