Product Overview
The 9475 Series Digital Fastener Length Gages are lightweight yet durable units that provide a fast, accurate, and repeatable means to measure fasteners and related products. The slide rod assembly ensures close alignment throughout the entire measuring range. This system concentrates force onto supported bearing surfaces, thereby minimizing any load transfer to the scale unit and increasing its life.
The length gage is designed for shop floor or inspection room use and offers an alternative to calipers, scales, and other manual measuring devices. SPC output capability is included for quality data collection and process control.

Maintenance
Replacing the Constant Force Spring

Remove cap screws (x4), scale guard, retainer caps (x2), and scale unit.

Remove socket head cap screws (x2) from support blocks to detach the gage main frame from the base plate.

Turn the gage main frame over and remove the cap screw securing the constant force spring to the Vee Block.

Unravel and replace the spring by wrapping a new spring around the spring reel.

Align screw hole with Vee Block and secure using the cap screw.

Reassemble all components.
Maintenance should always be performed with the gage secured on a stable surface. Universal Punch can provide replacement parts and guidance if required.
