#1280 EXTRA (TXP) PENETRATION GAGE
The Universal Punch #1280 EXTRA (TXP) Penetration Gage is designed for receiving and final inspection of internal hexalobular Plus (TXP) recess fasteners in production environments.
Manufactured in accordance with NIQ-811 and CIQ-811 standard references, this GO penetration inspection gage provides a fast, accurate, and repeatable method for verifying proper recess geometry prior to assembly. The #1280 TXP Gage is used to confirm that internal drive features meet required dimensional limits to ensure proper tool engagement and torque transmission during installation.
Fasteners that accept the GO element within specified tolerances are considered acceptable for production use. This inspection process helps prevent assembly failures caused by undersized or improperly formed internal recesses.
Universal Punch gage probes are heat treated, thermally stabilized, and surface treated to provide additional hardness for maximum wear resistance in demanding manufacturing environments. All probe elements are calibrated to specified dimensional tolerances and are directly traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
SPC-compatible digital indicator systems are available for integration into statistical process control programs.
